One ball between three players.
LIne up three players 5m apart with the player in the middle lying on his back. The standing players pass the ball to the player on the ground who catches it then rolls to pass the ball on to the next player. Once proficient, ask the standing players to take one step backwards and continue. Then swap over. At first the player on the ground will try to push the ball as in a basketball chest pass but insist they pass as if standing (see pictures 1 and 2).
Hands out to receive the ball.Passing the ball across the body and releasing the ball to the next player. Hands point towards receiving player.
Once players are proficient, ask them to sit up (see picture 3). They will then learn to use their upper body to make passes, as the pendulum is not an option.
Although it might seem strange to have players lying on their back, it reinforces the principles for good passing. Correct passing technique will lead to success.
