A contestable ball from a short kick-off is ideal, but if it goes wrong, your chasers need to react to prevent the opposition making dangerous inroads into your half.

A 20m long area which goes from 15m wide to 30m wide.
Exercise 1
Put three receivers inside one half of the area and two chasers in line with the “kicker” and opposite the receivers. The “kicker” throws the ball into the area.
The chasers aim to grab the ball carrier before the receivers make it to the end of the box, getting extra credit to stopping them before the middle of the box.
